This page takes you though the steps needed to perform mass updates in SAP using the Script Recording and Playback functionality that is available via the SAP GUI. It is enabled by a worksheet that contains a macro which will generate the script playback file based upon your data set and screen recording. The order that you perform the task in doesn't really matter but, for this example we will:
- Run SAP transaction IH08 to list a specific set of equipment.
- Export the list to excel and make a mass change to the short text.
- Make a Script recording of the IE02 transaction to change the short text
- Combine the script and the changed data into the macro enabled worksheet
- Generate the Playback Script
- Run the script
